Real Life Meeting Between Obama And Saints Startlingly Similar To Video Game Version

President Barack Obama welcomed the Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints to the White House today, and credited the team with lifting the spirit of New Orleans in the years following Hurricane Katrina.

“Back then people didn’t even know if the team was coming back. People didn’t even know if the city was coming back,” said Obama. “New Orleans and the New Orleans Saints are here to stay.”

Obama also made the requisite comparison between his administration and the team he was hosting, likening Sean Payton’s coaching in the Super Bowl to some of the tough choices he faces in office.

“But I never decided on an onside kick in the second half of the Super Bowl,” he said.

Rob Long brought up an interesting point on Fox 1370-AM in Baltimore today, wondering if the Saints trip to the White House, which takes place right smack in the middle of training camp, would be a distraction to the team.

Yeah, probably. But they won the Super Bowl, so they have the right to be distracted for two days.

Also, witness the startling similarites between the real-life meeting of the Saints and Obama, and the virtual ceremony that takes place in Madden 11. Ohh, creepy:
