Darrelle Revis On Rex Ryan: “Foot Fetish? Whatever. I Mean, That’s His Wife.”

The New York Jets are standing behind their head coach, Rex Ryan, in the wake of Deadspin’s “foot fetish” piece.

Darrelle Revis, Jets cornerback and Voice of Reason, take it away:

“Foot fetish? Whatever. I mean, that’s his wife. At the end of the day, that’s his wife and he can do whatever he wants with his wife. It’s not like he’s out committing adultery or anything negative.”

The front office, meanwhile, is sticking with the “personal matter” mantra.

“Woody and I have met with Rex,” Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum said in a statement. “This is a personal matter, and he has our full support.”

And Mark Sanchez, what do you think of your head coach’s less-than-deviant-but-still-hilarious YouTube videos?

Oh, to be at the meeting when Jets media relations people stood in front of the entire team and told them, “Whatever you do, refer to it as a personal matter.” Did anyone laugh? Somebody had to have laughed, at least a little. C’mon, we’re talking about the same guy who says stuff like this.

At least for now, the New York Jets organization stands united in the face of the “ihaveprettyfeet” saga, and will not be undone by Rex Ryan’s unquenchable thirst for toes, heels, soles, arches, and ankles.
