Today In “Worth A Try”: Sex.com Offered Rob Gronkowski $3.75 Million To Do A Porn Scene With Bibi Jones

You knew it was a doomed idea from the start, sex.com. You knew Rob Gronkowski wouldn’t really take a blowtorch to his own NFL (and endorsement, probably) career and take your offer of $3.75 million to do a porn scene with Bibi Jones, the former porn star he’s been photographed with from time to time. After all, that’s a lot of money, but you know he’ll make plenty more than that over the course of his NFL career. On top of that, Jones is retired from porn (UPDATE: not anymore). Who says she’d do this, either?

But you and I both also know it was never about getting Gronk (or Jones) to say yes to your offer, sex.com. It was about getting sites like this one to write about the offer. And on that front, you succeeded. And why wouldn’t you have succeeded? It was a valiant effort indeed on your part. Gronk and porn is almost as perfect a match as Gronk and pass-catching. Why, we’re almost positive that when Gronk caught wind of your offer – and you know he caught wind of it – he had to think to himself, for however fleeting a moment: “Hmmmmm. Sex = good. Money = good. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.”

And that’s why we’re more than happy to write about your doomed offer here, sex.com. It was a noble doomed effort. Sure, neither potential participant was ever likely to say yes – and on the extreme off chance Gronkowski had, Roger Goodell’s office would have squashed it at warp speed – but your press release was correct in saying:

“[Gronkowski has] the attitude to be a hugely popular male adult star.”

And who knows – maybe one day (with help from you, sex.com, for planting the idea in his head) he will make a name for himself in adult films. But for now, he’s best off focusing on football – and getting naked in front of cameras for somewhat more tasteful purposes.
