Chad Johnson is not on an NFL roster, meaning he himself does not get to play professional football. Chad Johnson is not on an NFL roster, meaning he does not get to play virtual professional football as himself, and he found that out the hard way, tweeting the experience Wednesday afternoon.

Ooof, that is awkward, Chad. Now you’re just like the millions of other Madden players who have to do the same. Tough to be the common man, I know.

So Johnson, who we now know to be an avid Madden player, could not find himself on the newest edition of the game, released today. He searched long and hard, but to no avail. What’s Chad Johnson to do? Should he just go on playing the game without his virtual self? Should he quit Madden altogether?

Nope, because if there’s anything Chad Johnson loves more than Chad Johnson, it’s Chad Johnson, and he’d be damned if he didn’t get to play as himself in Madden 13, regardless of his absence from the NFL. But what I really want to know is which team he put himself on. Was it the Bengals? The Patriots? The Dolphins? A fourth party? Inquiring minds want to know Chad, so keep us posted.

Oh, and it’s worth mentioning this next tweet, which he aimed at a follower who pitied his plight. Moral of the story: Don’t feel bad for Chad, or else he’ll start tweeting funky metaphors.
