Tebow And The Jets Get The Presidential Seal Of Disapproval

Since Tim Tebow and his pecs made their way to the Jets, New York and national sports media have been firmly polarized in their stance regarding Gang Green’s acquisition of the quarterback. The Jets might be disappointed to learn about their newest hater, mostly because he’s the president of the United States.

That’s right, Barack Obama himself threw his hat into the Tebow debate ring. In an interview Thursday on sports radio 97.1 WBNS-FM in Columbus, Ohio, the POTUS had some interesting words for Timmy, and basically told Jets fans that their team is going to suck this year. According to Rich Cimini of ESPN New York, here’s how Bo chimed in:

“I don’t like the idea of a quarterback controversy at the start of a season,” Obama told the station. “So if I was a Jets fan, I’d be pretty nervous.”

“Sanchez is not Tom Brady yet, but he led them to the playoffs two years in a row.”

“I think Tim Tebow seems to be a wonderful young man and he’s got just a great, winning attitude. He really steps up when things count, but there’s going to be a lot of tension in that situation. So it will be interesting to see how it plays itself out.”

OK, so the president didn’t come off too harshly — he stuck to his usual careful, very presidential manner of speech, which is more than you can say about anyone in the Jets organization. And it wasn’t all bad, he gave Mark Sanchez the highest backhanded compliment he’s probably ever received in his career.

But I think it’s safe to say the Head of State won’t be caught tailgating for any Jets games this season. I can’t say the same for Mitt Romney however, whose campaign is the beneficiary of fundraising on behalf of Jets owner Woody Johnson. Maybe it’s a good thing the Jets sport a blissfully neutral green and white uniform.

Tebow’s year isn’t going to suck near as bad as the president’s. Even he can suck worse than the Jet’s

Unemployment just went up again today so it’s a great comfort to those people to hear their President weigh in on the pressing issues of the day.

You are so Dumb.  The president does not have to work 24 hours on creating jobs.  Most of the jobs are lost in private sector and they are neither creating jobs nor creating new products.  I am glad we have a Human Bing for president and not a dumb cluck like you

Yes, Obama is a human being and very flawed like all of us are.  Yet, Mr. Obama has not been able to create any jobs, his economic recovery plan continues to fail.   It is his plan, so he has to take responsibility for it (which is something Obama will not do because of his self absorbed pride).  He continues to divide the nation with his class warfare tactics, which is bent on socialism, and throughout history, socialism has shown itself to be very oppressive, it does not reward individualism, takes away freedoms, and brings down countries due to its inherent corruption (look at history).  Yes, Obama wants to bring change, it is just that his idea of change is not what makes any country prosper, but instead, changes a country to force it to its knees, pleading for a way out.  If this is your idea for America, then move to Cuba, and see for yourself what America will look like under Obama’s plan for changing the United States.  I will lay odds that you will beg to come back to the United States when you realize how many freedoms you have lost, the oppression you will face, and the jobless rate that kills the spirit.
