Watch Tim Tebow Sing Jesus Songs To Himself As He Engineers An Amazing Comeback

This is amazing. Just too much going on here to single out one particular moment.

Last week, media lightning rod, political football and big fan of Jesus Christ Tim Tebow helped engineer another come-from-behind victory against the Chicago Bears. Tebow, as luck would have it, was mic’d up for that game, and the results are predictably spectacular. I have to note at this point that I consider myself about as neutral as can be when it comes to Tebow. I’m not a Broncos fan, either, so I have no horse in this race.

But after watching this, regardless of how I feel about him as a player, or how I feel about his religious views, or how I feel about the way he goes about expressing those views, I can’t deny that he’s — and, I threw up a little in my mouth as I realized I had to type this — a great human being.

It’s true! He’s just a really, really nice guy. Which sometimes gets lost in the shuffle when he’s being name-dropped for political purposes or being used to drive ratings on ESPN. The guy — not the brand, or the cultural phenomenon, but the guy — is a better person than 99.9% of other persons.

My favorite moments of the following clip (again, too many to name, these are just the ones popping into my head right now): Tebow singing Jesus songs to himself as he warms up (00:27), Tebow’s conversation with Bears linebacker Lance Briggs, particularly the way it starts (1:19), Tebow once again singing Jesus songs to himself as he’s about to go back out onto the field in overtime (8:28).
