Confused Terry Bradshaw Scolded On Live Television By Widow Of Legendary Giants Owner

One could easily be forgiven for picking the San Francisco 49ers to win the NFC title game against the New York Giants last night. They almost did win, for one thing. Moreover, the game was in San Francisco and the Niners went 13-3 this year to the Giants’ 9-7 (additionally, they were 7-1 at home, including a win there over…the Giants).

But the 49ers didn’t win. And that gave the Giants an opportunity to savor more than just their second Super Bowl appearance in five seasons – it gave them an opportunity to rub it in doubters’ faces. One of those doubters: FOX NFL Sunday guffaw-er Terry Bradshaw. Bradshaw was performing his postgame interviewing duties after last night’s game when Ann Mara, widow of longtime Giants owner Wellington Mara, spotted him. And it turns out she’s had just about enough of Bradshaw picking against her squad:

Mara’s laughing, so it’s good-natured. But good-natured or not…Bradshaw looks a little flustered there, no? Clearly not expecting to be put on the spot about his predictions. We’re really looking forward to seeing who he picks to win the super Bowl now. If last night’s result didn’t make him more inclined to pick the Giants, getting called out on TV might have done the trick.
