Things To See In Decatur, Ala.: Cook’s Natural Science Museum, Wheeler Wildlife Refuge, Nightly Arresting Of Rolando McClain
Rolando McClain owns a BCS Championship ring, has played in the NFL for three seasons with the Oakland Raiders, is now a Baltimore Raven, and in January, got married. The police in his hometown of Decatur, AL … still not impressed.
McClain was arrested in Decatur on Sunday for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest — his third arrest in that town since Dec. of 2011 — and was released shortly thereafter on $1,000 bond. McClain allegedly did not leave a park when he and a large group of friends was asked to do so by police. Reportedly he yelled “Fuck the police!” as he was walking away.
McClain reportedly started shouting curses at the officers before they proceeded to place him under arrest and take him to city jail, where no doubt he is on a first-name basis with the guards. He was reportedly bailed out.

Let’s take a look at McClain’s colorful Decatur adventures:
Jan. 27, 2011: The vehicle he was driving was shot at by persons unknown.
Dec. 1, 2011: McClain arrested by Decatur police, charged with third-degree assault, menacing, reckless endangerment and discharging a firearm inside the city limits (misdemeanors). Found guilty on all counts, fines $2,000, and sentenced to 180 days in jail. Charges eventually dropped by the victims when a financial settlement reached, according to his lawyers.
Jan. 8, 2013: McClain is pulled over for a window tint violation by Decatur police, and arrested for giving a false name and writing “Fuck Y’all” on the ticket. Bonded out of jail later that day.
April 21, 2013: McClain arrested by Decatur police for refusing to leave a park when ordered to do so, and yelling obscenities at officers.
So those who were betting that McClain would get arrested before he made it to his first Ravens practice: collect your winnings. It’s too bad, because Baltimore needs an inside linebacker, and this would be McClain’s chance at a clean slate. Now some in the media are calling for him to be released.
The Ravens’ official reaction? They are “waiting for more facts.”

The police had to be after Rolando McClain. Every resident in the history of Decatur has stood in a park and shouted swears at the cops.
