The Madden ’12 cover featuring Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hillis has been released. We knew Hillis would be on the cover after the online knockout tournament and the game won’t be out until the end of summer, so releasing the image now will just get us properly jonesing for the drug…err, game.

As addictive as the game is, I wonder what effect the lockout will have on sales; the two work hand in hand like a happy couple. There’s jonesing for a video game and then there’s jonesing for the NFL. It really is kind of like a drug, and if there are no games come September, the withdrawal will be severe. Ray Lewis just might be right.
