Tim Tebow Was The Most Popular Person At Colt McCoy’s Wedding (Video)

This past weekend, Colt McCoy tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Rachel Glandorf during a private ceremony in Austin, Texas. The groom was then serenaded by former UT teammate and BFFWR Jordan Shipley with a song called “When I Grow Up, I Want to be Just Like Colt McCoy.”

The song itself is pretty great, and begins by likening McCoy to a “ninja” with the “heart of a lion.” Shipley then details McCoy’s rise from slow, skinny kid to the starting quarterback of the Longhorns and “gunslinging inspiration.” As the bro love reaches a fever pitch, and with the crowd hanging on every word, Shipley tears the house down with this line:

“He hit the weights, and protein shakes, workin hard her started to grow,

gettin’ sick and tired of folks, gettin’ fired up, rubbin elbows with Tim Tebow.”

After that, pandemonium ensues.

So what’s the lesson here? If your best friend writes a country song about you at your wedding don’t let him mention Tim Tebow. You will be upstaged.
