Titans’ Jake Locker and Nate Washington Were Injured On The Same Play

Jake Locker hit Nate Washington over the middle some 20 yards down the field when he got absolutely sandwich-crunched by two New England defenders. Washington fumbled the ball, and New England’s Patrick Chung returned the fumble into Tennessee territory. Except Locker was the one to make the tackle, and he injured his left shoulder on the play.

So, to recap: No. 1 receiver gets injured (leg contusion) and fumbles ball, No. 1 QB gets injured trying to make tackle. That’s a bad bit of luck right there. On the bright side, the play was challenged and reversed, instead determined to be an incomplete pass. Though that renders Jake Locker’s tackle moot, so the replacement refs injured Jake Locker. WAY TO GO GUYS.
