Backup Quarterback Boinked In The Head, Probably Because He’s Just A Backup
The Buffalo Bills had an easy time with the Washington Redskins yesterday, putting them away 23-0 in their annual Toronto home game. And at first glance, it would seem backup quarterback Tyler Thigpen had an especially easy time – he didn’t throw a pass. But sometimes, the toughest job is helping get the other guy warmed up – specifically, when the other guy plunks you in the helmet with the football when you’re not looking, and allows the announcer to simply say, “Boink.” If starter Ryan Fitzpatrick then walked over to Thigpen to brag about his new $59 million contract, the indignity would have been truly complete.
