Victor Cruz Could Have Left A Better Tip

Via our tips box comes this shot of a tip of a different sort, allegedly left by Giants wide receiver/Mamba’ing pantymelter Victor Cruz. Cruz, by NFL standards, was grossly underpaid last season, bringing in $450,000 despite having one of the best seasons of any wideout in the league. By normal person standards, however, $450,000 is a lot of money. That’s a 13.5% tip, by the way.

Maybe the service wasn’t all that great.

Although most people don’t, technically you tip before tax.  NYC is 8.25% which would put the tip at almost 15%.

It’s far better than the less than 1% tip the self professed 1%er left the waitress in California.  He only left $1.33 on a nearly $135.00 check and wrote “Get a real job” on the receipt to the waitress.
He’s truly proud of his 1% status and is only tipping 1% if he does not feel the service is up to his standards.  I hope someone puts something in his food, for real!

He used to frequent the restaurant I worked at with Nicks.   They took very good care of me.  It was the service.  Just cause he has money, doesn’t make his server entitled to more than they deserve.
