WATCH: Chris Cooley-Led Prank Freaks Out Donovan McNabb
Noted Redskins tight end/prankster Chris Cooley is at it again at his team’s training camp this year. His latest target: new quarterback Donovan McNabb. Luckily, McNabb can take a joke – because this prank was very successful.
How it worked: Cooley procured a young fan named Jacob to “jump out of McNabb’s locker and scare the crap out of him,” as Jacob expertly put it. McNabb was conducting interviews while the group of pranksters set up shop, and they kept tabs on him as he returned to the locker room (at one point saying McNabb had to “stop and hobnob with the bigwigs,” a phrase we should all use regularly).
You can guess how it played out from there: McNabb got back, then Jacob jumped out and indeed scared the crap out of him. McNabb did a nice jump back and yelled something the cameras apparently did not see fit for us to hear, so we’d say everyone did their jobs quite well.
In fairness, though, McNabb took it well, having some friendly interaction with Jacob while Cooley and his co-assailant complimented the kid on a prank well pranked. Apparently, even veteran newcomers to the Redskins need to deal with some hazing…although Cooley better hope the ball’s still coming his way after this. Video of the incident below.
