WATCH: Emmitt Smith, Big Baby, Professes Love For Daryl Johnston


Emmitt Smith, hall-of-fame running back and large infant, tearfully thanked his fullback, Daryl Johnston, during his hall-of-fame induction speech last night in Canton, Ohio.

Johnston, who blocked for Smith as a member of the Cowboys and is apparently the wind beneath his wings, was asked to stand by Smith so he could be properly thanked, and cried at.

“Daryl Johnston, where are you? Will you please stand? You mean the world to me (tearing up) not just because we shared the same backfield, but because you sacrificed so much for me.”

Johnston, now trapped in a tractor beam of man-love as thousands of people looked on, smiled apprehensively as Smith continued.

“You took care of me as though you were taking care of your little brother. Without you, without you, I know today would not have been possible. I love you from the bottom of my heart.”

In all seriousness, a very cool moment, even if Emmitt welled up like Glenn Beck watching “Patton.”
