WATCH: NFL Receiver Takes Scary Hit, Likely Has Third Concussion In Less Than Three Games

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Austin Collie was hit hard by Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Daryl Smith, and likely has suffered his third concussion in less than three games.

Collie lay motionless for a few moments as Colts trainers rushed out to check on him. As you can see from the video, it was a scary moment for everyone involved: Dan Diedorf, CBS’ color analyst for the game, lets out an audible “Oh, No,” and frightened Colts fans watched as Collie lay on the turf.

Thankfully, Collie soon began moving, and left the field under his own power. But it’s at times like these when you have to worry about a player’s long term health: this is Collie’s third head injury in three games, and likely his third concussion in less than three weeks. That’s not good.

It’s worth noting that Smith’s hit on Collie looks to be legal, so a fine or suspension is unlikely.

If they say it was a legal hit, I cannot dispute it, but it surely looked to me as if they were heading definitely for his HEAD. I do hope Collie will recover from this in short time. He is one of the most important players for the Colts. The best of luck Collie, we need you back on the field!

Now that TD was a huge blow to the GB team because they had played a great game against the BIGTIME QB, who seems to think HE is the ONLY QB in the USA. Just goes to show you A QB cannot be depended upon to WIN all Games, even though I’m sure he will take the credit.
