When Operating With 140 Characters Or Less, Chad Ochocinco Refers To Roger Goodell As “Dad”

Chad Ochocinco has made one thing undeniably clear:  No matter what, he is going to have fun.

Yet, this modus operandi has not been without cost, and while it has, without a doubt, established Ochocinco as one of the most entertaining players in the the league in eyes of the fans, it has also established him as one of the most heavily fined.

Last year alone, commissioner Roger Goodell fined Ochocinco a net of $60,000 for 3 separate incidents–30k for breaking out a sombrero for a touchdown celebration, 20k for playfully bribing an official, and 10k for wearing the wrong color chinstrap–and, as it has thus become difficult to find a player more frequently disciplined by Goodell, it would therefore seem as if the two men share a unique relationship.

Namely, the relationship between a father and a problem child.

At least, this is how Ochocinco sees it.

In another humorous move from #85, Ochocinco took on this problem-child persona today when he tweeted at the commissioner the following:

“@Nflcommish [Goodell's twitter] Dad how are things, just sending you blessings before i become that problem child of a son during the season, i love you dad.”

Even the commissioner should appreciate this.

With so many players around the league observing truly abhorrent judgment, our guess is that, despite the fact that Ochocinco’s behavior often does warrant disciplinary action, the innocuous nature of this behavior must be seen as at least somewhat endearing.

Especially as (which shines through in 85′s tweet) it is clear that Ochocinco’s actions mean no disrespect and, more importantly, are all in good fun.

We admire Ochocinco’s good humor.  Hopefully, “Dad” feels the same.
