Delight Yourself With Everyone At A Hockey Game Uncontrollably Cracking Up

There are few activities that stand a better chance of improving your day than watching a video of a person cracking up uncontrollably (we submit the 3:09 mark of this clip as all the evidence necessary). And last night, Vancouver Canucks coach Alain Vigneault gave us the chance to watch – and now, post – just such a video:

Fantastic. Have you ever seen a coach crack up like that while actually coaching a game (whether it was during a stoppage in play or not)? Sometimes you’ll see, say, a baseball manager have a laughm but the pace of baseball makes it a different animal. The atmosphere of basketball, football, and hockey, where time is always running out, makes for very serious coaches. In fact, sometimes they take themselves so seriously they veer into self-parody territory. Nice to see someone violate that norm.

As for what exactly was causing Vigneault (and, apparently, his players and the fans sitting behind him – though some of their cracking up might have had to do with watching Vigneault lose it) to go nuts: apparently, Vernon Fiddler of the Stars (the Canucks’ opponents last night) does a mean impression of Canucks defenseman Kevin Bieksa. So mean, it caused Bieksa’s own coach to do that. We’ve gotta see that impression for ourselves… after watching Vigneault laugh 100 more times.
