We understand the excitement, Bruins fans. Your team just successfully opened its Stanley Cup defense in thrilling fashion. Yell, jump around, go crazy. It’s the right moment to do all of those things. But for those of you in the prime seats – we’re talking right down by the boards – might have to exercise a bit more caution next time around:

Ouch. Luckily, David Krejci, who took that hit from the glass, expects to play tomorrow. But that was some hit – Krejci dropped right down. Of course we’re glad for Krejci that he’ll be able to keep playing, but we’re also glad for those fans. The fan-guilt they’d have if they had not only accidentally hurt Krejci but also their beloved Bruins’ Stanley Cup repeat hopes wouldn’t have gone away for a while.
