When You Combine Hockey With Pro Wrestling, You Get This

Joakim Lindstrom bounced around the NHL for a few years, playing with the Blue Jackets, Coyotes, and Avalanche, and is currently playing in his native Sweden. And it’s a good thing for Lindstrom he didn’t pull the move you see below while he was in the NHL – because if he had, he probably would have gotten a lot of attention. Negative attention, specifically. And it’s not tough to see why:

Oh, you know, the old “grab your opponent by the head and throw him to the ground” maneuver! Classic hockey! Luckily, it seems the unfortunate recipient of the head-slam, Linus Klasen, will be back in short order, but he did unsurprisingly suffer a concussion as the result of the play. As for Lindstrom, the jury’s out on whether or not he’ll be suspended for his… unique method of checking, but color us surprised if the league lets that move go entirely unpunished.
