Paulina Gretzky Was Probably The Reason The Kings Re-Signed Jarret Stoll

The Kings announced Tuesday they re-signed center Jarret Stoll to a three-year contract. Stoll scored 21 goals during the regular season, but his most crucial tally came in overtime of Game 5 of the Western Conference quarterfinals against the Canucks to send Los Angeles through to the next round.

But not so fast, LA, we know the real reason you’re bringing back Jarret Stoll.

Dude is down with Paulina Gretzky!

That’s right: the NHL’s most prized daughter posted some photos on Twitter and Instagram of her and Stoll. While Stoll is a talented forward who is a two-way player, having Paulina Gretzky in your corner probably doesn’t hurt at the negotiating table. Talk about intangibles. Want to know what fills the seats at Staples Center come hockey season? A Stanley Cup? Heck no—the Great One’s daughter.
