Edmonton Oilers Forward Taylor Hall Takes Skate To The Face During Warmups

Here’s your cringe-worthy injury of the week. Yes, it’s only Tuesday, but we imagine that nothing will top the skate-to-the-face injury Edmonton Oilers’ forward Taylor Hall suffered tonight during warmups.

It was seriously a freak accident, as Hall slid on the ice, taking out teammate Ladislav Smid. As both players coasted along the ice and into the boards, Corey Potter tried to jump over the duo, hoping to avoid the collision. Unfortunately, that led to Potter’s skate sliding across Hall’s face. Ouch! Watch:

Hall was cut over the eye and was given stitches by a plastic surgeon on hand (must be nice!). Naturally, he did not play tonight against the Blue Jackets. We wish him well in his recovery.
