Social media is going a little overboard with this video of Eric Sogard’s daughter, Saydee, and her meltdown over the Brewers’ 6-5 loss to the Padres on Monday. In calling the tyke “adorable” and writing about how “there’s no crying in baseball”, they overlook one obvious fact.
Little Saydee is correct. If the Padres hit a home run and daddy hits a home run, then why should the Padres win? This is bullshit.
“That’s baseball” is not a sufficient answer, mom. Stop your condescending crap — the result is totally unfair. Get those teams back on the field.

Sogard hit a go-ahead homer in the top of the 10th for the Brewers on Monday, but Hunter Renfroe homered in the bottom of the 10th to give the Padres the walk-off win.
Mom was right about one thing, however: “They can win tomorrow.” There’s always tomorrow. And sure enough, Sogard — who was just called up from the minors on May 14 — had four hits to lead the Brewers to a 6-2 win over San Diego on Tuesday. Saydee approves:
