If You Haven’t Seen The Kristaps Porzingis Animated Police Procedural, Do So Now

As we’ve said at length many, many times before, the best basketball player in New York isn’t the nine-time All-Star making $24 million this season — or the youngest MVP in league history — it’s a 21-year-old kid from Lithuania.

Ya, it’s still hard to wrap your head around.

Seventeen games into his sophomore season, this 7’3″ stringbean with little professional basketball experience under his belt has won over the hearts and minds of stubborn Knicks fans, who cried themselves to sleep when Phil Jackson missed out on Jahlil Okafor and D’Angelo Russell a year-and-a-half ago. Given those dudes’ on-court (and off-court) issues, one could argue that the guy picked immediately behind them, Kristaps “I’m still freakin’ growing” Porzingis, ended being the steal of the 2015 NBA Draft.

As NBA fans are wont to do when they get all hot and bothered over a blossoming superstar, someone took the time to animate an episode of a Porzingis-themed cop show, where K.P. fights crime as a member of the NYPD. Ya know, stuff like getting to the bottom of Pizza Rat’s mysterious death. Typical side-gig stuff, really.

The best thing you will see all day, below…
