Own goals are shameful enough, but most can be chalked up to goal prevention gone awry – an unfortunately directed header, an ill-placed ball deflection, etc. And then there’s this utter fail by goalkeeper Michel Alves in a match between Circiuma and America in Brazil’s second division.

But yeah, all good, that wave of the hand totally absolves you.
