MLS has a reputation as a second-rate league – the league that, if it gets any high-profile international stars, gets them when they’re past their prime. And that, of course, is… pretty much true. David Beckham was 32 by the time he joined the L.A. Galaxy, as was Thierry Henry by the time he joined the New York Red Bulls of Harrison.
