Or actually, $99,999 … but what’s a buck between primates?
It’s all happening on e-Bay right now, with only about 10 hours left. A Cheeto shaped like Harambe — the gorilla tragically killed at the Cincinnati Zoo when a human child fell into its enclosure last year — has a high bid just short of 100 grand.
Its owner says the ape-shaped snack is from a bag of Flamin Hot Cheetos. Chester Cheetah approves. From the listing by valuestampsinc:
“I opened up a bag of Flamin Hot Cheetos and as soon as I looked inside I came across this unique Cheetos that looks like Harambe the gorilla,” the post goes on to say.
“This item up for bid is only for this unique Cheetos, bag not included. This makes a great collectible for anyone who appreciates rare items!”
As you know, Harambe was killed on May 28, 2016, after a 3-year-old boy climbed into his enclosure at the Cincinnati Zoo. Authorities shot the gorilla, believing the child to be in danger.
Like Harambe jokes themselves, this Cheeto is quickly approaching its expiration date. For as valuestampsinc himself said, “bag is not included.”
