Yeah, much of last night was dominated by a guy everyone hates talking about why everyone hates him, but there was also more fun stuff happening. Stuff like a pretty damn awesome Heat-Lakers game. Let’s break it all down.

When Andy Reid got fired by the Eagles, everyone knew it wouldn’t be long before he had another head coaching job. But to get two jobs at once? That’s impressive.

After the onslaught of firings suffered by NFL coaches on the last day of 2012, at least one of the guys who got the axe is already showing signs of life early in 2013. It took about 36 hours, but just one day after his 14-year run at the helm of the Philadelphia Eagles came to an end, Andy Reid has all but secured the head coaching job for the Arizona Cardinals.

OK, so this season hasn’t gone the Cardinals’ way. So they followed one of the flimsiest 4-0 starts in NFL history with a rock-solid nine-game losing streak and now sit at 5-10 with one game to go. We dare you to watch the video after the jump and care about any of that.

Like any father who just wants to see his child succeed, Larry Fitzgerald Sr. is upset. Upset that his son’s amazing god-given talent is going to such awful waste on an NFL team whose quarterback play is just about on par with a mediocre Pop Warner team. He used that thing, you know, Twitter, to tell us all how he really feels.

Arizona Cardinals safety Kerry Rhodes likes winning football games. With Arizona trailing 7-6 and the Jets on the brink of scoring a late touchdown, Rhodes tried to convince teammate Darnell Dockett that the only way they could win was if they let New York score so their offense could get the ball back. Darnell Dockett was not on board with this plan.

With Tim Tebow out due to injury, today could have been Mark Sanchez’s opportunity to silence some of the critics and put the Jets’ quarterback controversy to bed. I say “could have” because what Sanchez did instead of was invite even more criticism about his inability to lead a team.
