We’ve made some jokes about John L. Smith here recently. It was pretty easy to, what with his quirky personality, weird press conferences, and underperforming team. As the week’s gone on, though, and it’s come to ought just how rough Smith has had it lately, you honestly have to feel for the guy.

Arkansas is the country’s most disappointing team. They’re 1-2, and the win came in underwhelming fashion against Jacksonville State. They lost to Louisiana-Monroe. They lost to Alabama, which everyone figured they would, but they got dismantled even more thoroughly than anyone could have predicted. It’s not a fun time to be an Arkansas fan right now.
