If you’re like us, you’re a little tired of the phrase “worst first pitch.” You hear it all the time — and yes, we’ve written posts on the subject before. Sometimes it’s famous American athletes; sometimes it’s actors; and sometimes it’s Korean pop stars (man, we got a lot of heat for that one).

The White Sox were graced by the presence of the Doggfather, Snoop Scorcese, the D-O-double-gizzle, etc., today, when the rapper threw out the first pitch. And considering all the bad ceremonial first pitches we’ve seen lately, this one was pretty good. But it was up in the strike zone. It was near the letters. It was not a strike, by virtue of it being above the strike zone. Know what I mean? Video after the jump.

This incredible example of how not to throw out the ceremonial first pitch comes to us from South Korea. Meet Jessica Jung, who was born in San Francisco and now sings for a Korean pop group called “Girls’ Generation.” Also, she can’t throw a ball for shit.

That creepy girl from “The Ring” showed up to throw out the first pitch at a Japanese baseball game. If you think baseball games aren’t scary enough, then this is the story for you. If Bear Grylls is going to do something, he’s going to do it like a badass. Asking him to simply throw a ball is downright insulting — where’s the risk, or disgust factor, or violence in that? So instead, watch Bear Grylls light a ball on fire and then throw it at the Dodgers, after the jump.

Today, a Penn-engineer-designed robot named PhillieBot threw out the first pitch at the Phillies’ 4-3 win over the Brewers. Alas, it didn’t go too well.
