Last night’s Abner Mares-Joseph Agbeko boxing match featured several controversial officiating decisions, and no one was more upset about it than Jim Gray.

Jim Gray was pulled from the Golf Channel’s coverage of the Northern Trust Open after reportedly getting in a “heated argument” with golfer Dustin Johnson’s caddie.

The Decision was such a disaster that it really speaks to a failing by the entirety of America. We’re all a part of the culture that created an environment where enough people thought this was a good idea that it got the go-ahead…then, we proved the people who gave it the go-ahead right, by watching it.

Sports Illustrated’s Richard Deitsch released his “Media Awards for 2010″ on Tuesday, and as I usually do when this list comes out, I scanned for the negative stuff.

Earlier today, a report (via Golf Channel and Jim Gray) that U.S. Ryder Cup captain Corey Pavin would select Tiger Woods for the team. A later report from Corey Pavin said Pavin hadn’t. Fireworks ensued.
