No Kobe Bryant-style double duty for Kris Humphries. If he has to, he will miss Brooklyn Nets playoff games to get divorced from the soon-to-be Mrs. Kanye West Kim Kardashian.

The Knicks and Nets split their season series after the Nets won at MSG this afternoon, 88-85, but the action didn’t really get going until after the game ended. Kris Humphries will know better than to say anything on Twitter that might illicit reaction from J.R. Smith.

Kris Humphries has been something of a hot topic this NBA season – mostly because of how much everyone seems to hate him. This, even though there didn’t seem to be an exact reason for a lot of that hate…but that might be changing.

It’s going to be a long year for Kris Humphries. The former husband Kim Kardashian (who was recently named the NBA’s most disliked player) signed a one-year, $8 million contract with the Nets this week, although last night he was probably wondering if that was such a good idea.

Marrying a Kardashian is apparently no good for a young man’s reputation. That’s what we found out today when New Jersey Nets forward Kirs Humphries trumped LeBron James as the “most disliked” player in the NBA. Imagine that, this time last year Humphries wasn’t even a household name. Heck, I imagine that he wasn’t even well-known among his colleagues.

Kris Humphries hasn’t had the greatest run lately (with this perhaps representing one of the lowest points), but maybe his luck is finally about to turn.
