Because there are only 99 good-looking celebrities in the world today, the readers of Maxim magazine were able to find space on their highly regarded list ranking the relative attractiveness of women for Lennay Kekua. You know, that smokin’ hot figment of Ronaiah Tuiasosopo’s and Manti Te’o's collective imagination?
So Ronaiah Tuiasosopo Apparently Was Doing Lennay Kekua’s Voice After All And Oh Come On What The Hell We Give Up With This Crap
So Ronaiah Tuiasosopo was doing Lennay Kekua’s voice. But wait – no he wasn’t. But wait – he kept saying he was, but wouldn’t prove it. Sounds like someone with something to hide, right? Well… wrong, apparently. But with this story, who’s to say whatever we think isn’t about to be turned upside down?
Of the many scarcely-believable developments in the Manti Te’o/Ronaiah Tuiasosopo/Lennay Kekua story, perhaps the strangest was Tuiasosopo’s lawyer’s claim that his client voiced Lennay Kekua. Despite his own relatives saying otherwise, Tuiasosopo is sticking to his story – but given a chance to prove it today, he was less than enthusiastic to take advantage.
In a story full of twists and turns that only served to make the entire overarching issue even more bizarre, this one actually clears things up a bit. Well, kind of. Remember how Ronaiah Tuiasosopo’s lawyer said he was the one voicing Lennay Kekua over the phone? Not so much, his relatives say.
In just about a half-hour at 3:00 p.m. today, Katie Couric’s interview with Manti Te’o will air on her ABC show “Katie.” This will be the first time Te’o has been seen on camera since the fake dead girlfriend hoax story broke. But as a teaser to that interview, Couric’s website, KatieCouric.com, has released the audio of three voicemails left by Lennay Kekua on Te’o's phone.
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Schaap, who acquired a spreadsheet of Manti Te’o's phone records from a source, Te’o and Lennay Kekua, or whoever the woman behind Lennay Kekua was, made 1,000 phone calls to each other.
Now that reports have surfaced indicating that the character “Lennay Kekua” has been used in catfish schemes before, people are coming out of the woodwork claiming to have been Kekua-ed. The latest comes by way of Tessi Tolutau, a Hawaii beauty pageant queen who says that Kekua messaged her on Facebook to discuss modeling.
Manti Te’o sat down with ESPN’s Jeremy Schaap yesterday to shed a little more light on the insane story of his imaginary girlfriend, Lennay Kekua, and to clear the air and explain how he was not in on the hoax, even if he was gullible enough to fall for it.
Today In Fun TMZ Reports: Manti Te’o Rebounded From The Death Of His Fake Girlfriend With A Real Girlfriend
Today in unsubstantiated reports: TMZ now claims that Manti Te’o, reportedly innocent victim of Ronaiah Tuiasosopo’s elaborate Lennay Kekua hoax, had a rebound girlfriend, who was, reportedly, real and “HOT.”
According to ESPN’s Shelley Smith, Ronaiah Tuiasosopo, the man whom Deadspin suspected to be the perpetrator of the entire Manti Te’o girlfriend hoax, did in fact admit to doing so to a “church friend” in early December. He also admitted that Te’o is an innocent victim.
