Alain Berger of FC Bern doesn’t pull any punches, nor does he pull his gloves off to throw them. Going toe-to-toe with Sebastien Schilt of Gottéron, Berger decided he didn’t want to “go there”, and instead opted for some Olympic-style boxing. Watch him bob and weave his way out of any integrity as a hockey player.
The Bruins lost in a shootout against the Canadiens last night, falling 6-5. It was a relatively big game, as far as middle-of-the-regular-season games go, so upon letting up the winning shootout goal, Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask was not pleased. His plan for letting off steam, though, didn’t go quite how he wanted. At least we hope this wasn’t what he wanted.
Growing up a young lad playing youth sports, you didn’t necessarily like wearing a cup. Everybody wanted to be the cool kid who free-balled because, let’s face it, jockstraps are for squares. But ultimately, you put up with the minor discomfort anyway, because you wanted to be prepared for the worst. Montreal Canadiens goalie Carey Price was not prepared for the worst.
On New Year’s Eve, Krys Barch of the Florida Panthers was ejected from a game against the Montreal Canadiens. After initial confusion as to why, it was revealed that the ejection was due to an alleged racial slur toward the Canadiens’ P.K. Subban, who is black. And there, the mystery ended…until it didn’t.
Fights in the stands can be scary. They can make you wonder how the hell they were able to happen to begin with. And other times, they just come off as pathetic. Thankfully, a fan brawl that broke out last night during the Bruins’ 1-0 win over the Canadiens last night fell somewhere between those extremes.
