We’ve gotten used to the idea of Nnamdi Asomugha as an Eagle because when it was announced he’d signed with the team, it was all we heard about. The video you’ll see after the jump, however, is a reminder of just how little time Asomugha’s really spent in Philadelphia.

Ever since the NFL got back to business, the Philadelphia Eagles have been busy causing a stir with several aggressive moves, including shocking everyone by landing star corner Nnamdi Asomugha. But even though the Eagles look awfully formidable on paper now, not everyone’s thrilled with all their acquisitions.

Adam Sandler told Dan Patrick what he would’ve said to Nnamdi Asomugha to try to get him to join the Jets. And, not surprisingly, it made little to no sense.

The New York Daily News did not take too kindly to Nnamdi Asomugha‘s signing with the Eagles, while the Philadelphia Inquirer elected to give front-page rights to the debt ceiling crisis.

Well, we didn’t see this one coming. Nnamdi Asomugha, the most coveted free agent on the market who at various points was supposedly heading to the Jets, the Cowboys, the Texans, and anyone else interested, is instead heading to the Philadelphia Eagles. Apparently, the Eagles just sent out a text confirming the deal. Consider us shocked. Reports earlier today had the Jets out of the picture, but…wow. It’s a five-year, $60 million deal. 25 million of those dollars are guaranteed. Again, Nnamdi Asomugha is going to the Eagles. Wow. (Photo via)
