Adult film star Gina Lynn slept with some prominent Philly athletes, according to her ex-husband (and fellow performer) Travis Knight. Knight and Lynn, who are still friends, both appeared on an Atlanta radio show recently, and the Philadelphia Daily News is reporting that during the interview Knight blew up some spots.

Ilya Bryzgalov and the Philadelphia Flyers may have lost the Winter Classic, but when it comes to fashion statements, the Broad Street goalie may have completely won with this mask. The keeper’s helm was donned with images and other tributes to Philly’s sports greats like Mike Shmidt, Dr. J and Harry Kalas, as well as a really cool tribute to Flyers broadcaster, Gene Hart.

The Flyers beat the Penguins 4-2 in Pittsburgh last night. One of the Flyers’ four goals was scored by Jaromir Jagr, who has just a tiny bit of history with the Penguins. And the fans didn’t let him forget it…but Jagr gave as good as he got.

Thanks to HBO’s 24/7 series on the Flyers and Rangers, Philly goalie Ilya Bryzgalov has become an internet sensation. Last night, he offered more wisdom, this time about how his dogs compare to beautiful women.

Flyers goalie Ilya Bryzgalov had a rough patch earlier this season, his first with the team, but of late, he’s picked up his play, the Flyers are on a roll…and now, thanks to the Flyers being featured in HBO’s 24/7 series, Bryzgalov’s a star for what he does – and especially says – off the ice, too.

Generally, when you hear about an athlete sustaining an injury that will keep them out for 2-3 weeks, you’re not inclined to think it’s a good thing. But when the injury in question looks as bad as the hockey-stick-to-the-eye the Flyers’ Chris Pronger sustained against the Maple Leafs last night, it changes your thinking a bit.

Last week, the Philadelphia Flyers’ Wayne Simmonds, who is black, had a banana thrown at him during a preseason game. The incident was widely, and rightly condemned, and Simmonds handled it about as well as anyone could. But it didn’t take long for the shoe to find the other foot.

The NHL barely has an offseason, so now, a scant three months after the Boston Bruins lifted the Stanley Cup, the preseason is underway. As happy as hockey fans are to have the league back, however, one incident from a preseason game involving Philadelphia Flyers right wing Wayne Simmonds has to dampen that enthusiasm.
