Today in the fifth hour of the 24-hour race at Le Mans, Anthony Davidson’s Toyota was nudged by Piergiuseppe Perazzini’s Ferrari. Davidson subsequently spun out, flipped through the air and violently crashed into the tire wall. Somehow neither driver sustained any serious injuries.

I’m not a racing expert by any stretch, but I’m pretty sure “cutting across the infield to intentionally ram into another driver and provoke a fistfight” isn’t kosher. See the incident for yourself, and tell me if I’m wrong, after the jump.

Tragedy struck the sport of skiing, the realm of athletics and the world at large when Canadian racer Nik Zoricic died during a World Cup event in Switzerland today. Nik was 29. For those who are interested, we have video of the crash after the jump.
