When Sports Illustrated debuted their cover art for their inaugural list of the 50 most powerful people in sports, I couldn’t help but get titillated at the sight of Roger Goodell sitting on the Iron Throne. So when I came upon the wonderful “Kingdoms of Sport” map fashioned after the world George R.R. Martin created, I declared the rest of my day a wash, and sat, gazing at this creation for more time than I’m comfortable sharing here.

You might have thought the SI Swimsuit Issue publicity blitz was over, since the issue came out a couple weeksago, but you’d be wrong – Kate Upton (who, of course, graced the issue’s cover for the second consecutive year) appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night.
The Oilers have been one of the NHL’s worst teams in each of the last two seasons, but that didn’t stop SI’s Adrian Dater from placing them third in the league in his preseason power rankings. And if that sounds crazy to you, just know that the Oilrrs themselves seem to agree that yeah, it’s crazy.
