According to Real Sports‘ Bryant Gumbel, society should stop “coddling” female athletes — i.e. the U.S. women’s soccer team — after a loss. The younger Gumbel chalked up the ladies’ loss in the World Cup final to sloppy mistakes. Then he really got fired up.
