Supreme Court Justice Apologizes For Kaepernick Comments
  • Dan Russo

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg apologized Friday for comments she made disagreeing with Colin Kaepernick’s national anthem protest. Ginsburg called the 49ers backup quarterback’s protest “dumb and disrespectful” in an interview with Yahoo’s Katie Couric.

According to BuzzFeed News the justice released a statement today saying her previous comments were “inappropriately dismissive and harsh.”

Kaepernick shot back at Ginsburg on Tuesday.

“It is disappointing to hear a Supreme Court justice call a protest against injustices and oppression ‘stupid, dumb’ in reference to players doing that,” Kaepernick said in The Mercury News.

It’s not often “Notorious RBG” retracts a statement, but there’s a first time for everything.
