Mexico deserved AT LEAST a goal in their first half match against Cameroon. Giovanni Dos Santos had two scores disallowed due to offsides, perhaps (read: definitely) unfairly. Mexico finally got their score in the second half, and it was nearly Dos Santos who put it away, but his shot was blocked and then put him by Oribe Peralta in the 61st minute.
Univision, which is streaming all of the the first two rounds of the World Cup on their site, is a Spanish language broadcast network. It’s not surprising, then, that the Univision live call for this goal (or, “GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!”) is nothing short of amazing:

Not a bad way to kick off scoring. Peralta was subbed out for Chicharito Hernandez soon after.
