Fantasy Feud offers Daily and 1-Week Fantasy Football contests in which you can win cash prizes and get paid out the same day. They are running their $100,000 Feud of Champions Qualifiers and Satellites each week for as low as $1. You can enter a weekly Fantasy Football contest and compete against other players with a shot in their Week 16 Feud of Champions contest. This contest will only have 32 seats and pay $30,000 to the 1st place winner. Here are some plays you can use this week.
Aaron Rodgers, GB ($190,000) – Sometimes it pays to pony up dough in weekly Fantasy Football and this is one of those cases. Rodgers at home vs. a weak passing defense in the Washington Redskins. The Redskins come into this game gassed after being pinballed by the Philadelphia Eagles offense on Monday night. With Randall Cobb, Jordy Nelson, and James Jones lining up at wide receiver I see Rodgers putting up at least 30 Fantasy points this week. This is your floor play with 300 passing yards, three TDs, and zero INTs in my projections.
Carson Palmer, ARI ($121,500) – I’ve got Palmer as a top 12 quarterback this week, but his salary rank on Fantasy Feud is 23rd!!! Great value here on Palmer who should be throwing a ton inside the friendly confines of UOP Stadium. There is a slight concern about how the Arizona offensive line will be able to handle the Lions pass rush, but with no running game, Palmer will be throwing a ton to a nice set of wide receivers in what should be a shootout against the Lions.
Chad Henne, JAX ($63,800) – I gave you Terrelle Pryor as a bargain basement play last week and it hit. Henne already gets a shot at the QB spot in Jacksonville in week two due to Blaine Gabbert’s injury. Last year, with Henne under center, WR’s Cecil Shorts and Justin Blackmon went off. Blackmon is suspended and Shorts is a little banged up so watch the injury report. I gave you Ace Sanders as a bargain play last week and he got nine targets but was not able to do much. You only need 15 fantasy points from Henne for this pick to cash which allows you to stack at your other quarterback spot with Aaron Rodgers ($190,000).
LeSean McCoy, PHI ($140,600) – The steam we saw on McCoy that pushed his ADP from as low as 10, then to as high as three looks to be legit after Week One. McCoy is going to get a ton of touches in the Chip Kelly offense and could threaten 2,000 yards from scrimmage. The Chargers come into this one off the late Monday night heartbreaking loss versus the Texans and travel east to play a 1 pm eastern game. The Eagles run wild in the first half again.
Matt Forte, CHI ($126,000) – We saw Reggie Bush shred the Vikings defense last week out of the backfield and now with Marc Trestman in Chicago, the same game plan should take place with Forte this week. I can see this game getting out of hand in the first half with Forte seeing a heavy workload. Running backs that also catch the ball are extremely valuable on Fantasy Feud with the .5 point-per-reception scoring.
Eddie Lacy, GB ($101,000) – Lacy did not have a great Week One, but he did see 15 touches. I’m expecting the Packers to put up at least 30 points at home this week vs. a very worn out Redskins defense. Lacy will get opportunities in the red zone, with a shot at 100 yards combined and a touchdown.
Tavon Austin, STL ($57,400) – Austin’s salary rank is 63rd at wide receiver which is amazing considering in season long leagues he was a WR3. The matchup on the road at Atlanta feels like it will have some fireworks inside the Georgia Dome. With two FLEX positions on Fantasy Feud, you can slide him in there.
Miles Austin, DAL ($84,100) – Dez Bryant has been banged up all week and there is a chance he doesn’t play on Sunday or is very limited. That means more targets going towards Austin and the Cowboys will probably also try and run the ball a little more here on the road at Kansas City. I like this game to be in the 24-27 point range on both sides. Austin is ranked 30th in salary, with an upside of a top 15 WR this week.
Dwayne Bowe, KC ($75,300) – The salary algorithm on Fantasy Feud looks to heavily weight the most recent performance, so pick your spots on who you want to buy low on this week. I would not recommend starting Bowe and Miles Austin together, but like I said above, this game should have a total score in the 50 point range and I would expect Bowe to get on the board this week.
Pierre Garcon, WAS ($88,100) – Garcon did not have the monster game that we all expected against the Eagles, as Leonard Hankerson was the recipient of the game plan to stop the Frenchman. Now the Redskins travel to Green Bay and we saw what the 49ers did to the Green Bay secondary. Another game that should have at least 50 points scored, Garcon and RGIII should be able to hit the deep ball this week.
Brandon Myers, NYG ($79,500) – The lack of a running game combined with the Broncos inability to cover tight ends, leads me to love Myers this week with a high floor.
Dallas Clark, BAL ($65,000) – Clark saw a lot of looks in Week One vs. the Broncos and will get them here as Joe Haden will be on Torrey Smith. You want a lot of volume from this position for the best value possible.
Tony Gonzalez, ATL ($94,600) – There is a strong chance that Roddy White will not play this week or will be in limited action. Gonzalez will be a big target even more this week for Matt Ryan with the lack of a solid WR3.
College Fantasy Football Value Plays
QB Paul Millard WVU ($50,000)
Millard has struggled in his first two games this year (much like Logan Thomas below), but at just the minimum salary you are hoping for a flier. West Virginia’s offense has changed completely from last year but they get Georgia State at home this week as a 38 point favorite.
QB Logan Thomas VTECH ($50,000)
Thomas has been awful in two games this year vs. Alabama and Western Carolina. Now he goes on the road at East Carolina who was one of the worst passing defenses last year. His price has completely bottomed out and with 3 QBs on Fantasy Feud, he is worth a flier.
QB Blake Bell OKLA ($72,500)
Bell gets the start this week for the injured and ineffective Trevor Knight. The Sooners are a heavy favorite vs. Tulsa and Bell also uses his legs which is a plus for CFB.
RB Byron Marshall ORE ($62,300)
Marshall has been the #2 running back for the Oregon Ducks which means he still gets a lot of touches in this high octane offense. Oregon at home is usually good for at least 50 points and the total this week is 70 points.
RB Roderick Williams MINN ($62,300)
Williams has filled in nicely for the injured Donnell Kirkwood. The Golden Gophers are a 24 point favorite with a total of just 44 points, meaning an expected 34-10 game. Williams should get a lot of carries in this game and still presents great value if Kirkwood is still not able to go.
RB Ralph Abernathy CIN ($69,300)
Abernathy has not put up huge numbers this year, but you know he will get the ball especially this week vs. Northwestern State. The Bearcats are a heavy favorite (29 pts) and the projected game score is 43-13.
WR Josh Huff ORE ($57,000)
Even though Oregon mostly runs, Huff is a solid WR with great value because the Ducks should put up at least 50 pts this week at home.
WR Devin Smith OHIO ST ($58,000)
QB Braxton Miller most likely will not play this week due to injury leaving back up Kenny Guiton to lead the Buckeyes vs. California who has one of the worst passing defenses in the country. Smith is a home run deep threat and with 3 WRs starting on Fantasy Feud, he’s a flier worth taking.
Fantasy Feud NFL Survivor
Admittedly, my Week One Survivor picks bombed so I hope you were able to overcome the poor results and still survive. I am returning with more conservative picks this week and not taking as many chances.
QB – Eli Manning
RB – Matt Forte
WR – Larry Fitzgerald
I’m still not going to take any of the elite players, but all three players are at home and in situations that should dictate higher scoring games and a lot of touches.
