Mike Tyson Finally Gets The Credit He Deserves For Inspiring That ‘Street Fighter II’ Character

  • Jake O'Donnell

It wasn’t hard to figure out where CAPCOM came up with the idea for Balrog — the boxer from Street Fighter 2. The gap between his front teeth, the cut it shaved into his haircut, the uncanny resemblance to greatest fighter of the era in which the game was made. Had they made such an egregious ripoff today, CAPCOM would get sued faster than it took Lindsey Lohan to sue Rockstar over their portrayal of a sluty Hollywood starlet in Grand Theft Auto Five, or roughly the amount of time it took Tyson to knockout these 16 dudes.
