This Is How The 2012 Kentucky Derby Went Down

After days of anticipation, hours of TV coverage, many large hats, mint juleps and human interest stories on horse trainers, the 138th edition of “The Most Exciting Two Minutes In Sports” has come and gone.
At 6:31 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, the race kicked off in Louisville with Union Rags at 9-2 odds, Bodemeister at 5-1 and Gemologist at 8-1. With a record crowd of over 165,000 in attendance, this was destined to be an exciting race.
With an incredible push at the end I’ll Have Another overtook Bodemeister, who had been leading the whole race, to take it by a nose.
So, I’ll Have Another is your Kentucky Derby champion at (13-1 odds). With another Derby in the books, be sure to look out for I’ll Have Another the Preakness.
