There Are Whispers On The Internet That This Kimbo Slice Fight Was Fixed
Kimbo Slice, the bearded brawler who made a name for himself with a series of brutal streetfight videos and parlayed that internet fame into a short and mediocre MMA career, is now focusing on boxing.
According to The Cage Doctors, Kimbo has faced a steady stream of patsies to help build up his record since putting on slightly-more-padded gloves. The practice is not an uncommon one in boxing, and is the reason you see a lot of inflated 50-2-type records. But in Kimbo’s latest fight against Brian Green, there have been murmurs that something slightly more sinister than simply facing inferior competition to pad your record was going on.
Did Green take a dive? There’s no proof as of now. But some are saying the knockout is questionable, and indeed, when you watch the video, that uppercut looks awfully slow. And, my oh my, Green is leaving his face pretty open towards the end there. Judge for yourself, America. Was the fix in? Fast forward to the 3:57 mark.
