Want A Beer? You’ll Have to Overcome This Vending Machine’s “Pussy Meter” First
Tired of waiting at the bar for a beer, when you know you’re the strongest, most jacked-up tough guy in the damn place? Well, step away from that inattentive bartender, insert some money in the “Rugbeer,” and make the vending machine your bitch.
Confused? I’ll enlighten you. Cerveza Salta, an Argentinian brewing company, created a vending machine, called the Rugbeer, that you must hit sufficient enough force to overcome the “Pussy Meter.” If you fail, the drunkenness that inspired you to try and tackle the vending machine will begin to fade, and your thirst will go unquenched. If you’re still not getting it, watch the brilliant video (it’s been around for about a month, but just came to our attention today):
The video is awesome, and the vending machine is awesome. I’m not sure why a beer being marketed for a small region in Argentina has a viral English advertising video, but that doesn’t diminish its awesomeness. It’s clearly a marketing gimmick, as only one machine was made, but it worked for me. Next time I’m in the Salta Province, I’ll be sure to order a Cerveza Salta.
But if you’re hoping the Rugbeer spreads to America, keep dreaming. The vending machine is defenseless, so Roger Goodell would never let you lay a hit on it.
