Should This Full-Court Buzzer-Beating Bounce Pass Dunk Count?

From a January 27th game in Vinita, OK. It’s being hailed as the “greatest high school dunk ever,” but I’m not sure it should have counted. In the end, it wouldn’t matter: Vinita High (the dunking team) would beat Locust Grove High 54-40. And regardless, just the idea of what happened (again: full-court buzzer-beating bounce pass dunk) is great.

since we can’t see in the video how much time is on the clock, it’s hard to say, but the clock doesn’t start till the ball is touched, and the kid is pretty quick from catching to dunking, so with say .2 of a second, it is certainly possible its a good basket…

.2 is impossible to shoot according to most organizations . You are correct that it doesn’t start till ball is touched.  Would be nice to see the clock.
