This Guy/Thing Is Why Steroids Are Terrible For The Human Race

Arguments are often made in support of legalized steroids in sports. Doctors prescribe them! They’re for recovering from injury! Everyone’s doing them! All have merit, but a single look at this guy and you’ll realize that anabolic steroids are an affront to humanity. People should not have the option to enhance themselves like this without the aid of a medical professional.

Clemens, A-Rod, Bonds — whomever.

All you need to turn into this guy is a syringe and some Synthol. Not sure what that is? Neither is science.

[Bodybuilding.com] Synthol is composed of 85% medium-chain triglyceride oils (a fatty acid), 7.5% lidocaine (painkiller), and 7.5 5 benzyl alcohol. The preparation is injected deep into the muscle where it is encapsulated between the fascicles (bundles of muscle fibers) . With repeated injections, a larger volume of oil builds up inside the muscle, expanding its size like a balloon filling up with air. About 30% of what is injected is metabolized by the body. The other 70% remains lodged in the muscle where it breaks down very slowly over three to five years.

Next time someone cries that baseball should just go ahead and allow steroids, show them this video.

  • Pedro Garcias

The components of synthol have been listed. That list proves synthol and steroids are completely different substances. It is absolutely ridiculous to claim that science does not know what it is. It is also completely illogical to claim that synthol abuse is the epitome of the danger steroids pose to society based on the argument presented.

This blurb is nothing more than shameless and unsubstantiated sensationalist journalism created out of ignorant sanctimony.

Steroids are not “synthol”. Synthol is not steroids. Jake O’Donnell’s (the author of the article) confusion is a pathetic attempt to demonize steroids by illogically equating the two.

Equating steroids with synthol has to be one of the most disingenuous arguments I have ever seen.

  • Marvin Mann

This dude is a total idiot playing with synthol….these are oils that are site injected…there not a steroid at all…just more stupid people doing and taliking about things they know nothing of.

I could not have said it better. Very well put Pedro!!

  • Anonymous

The author is being entirely disingenuous. Synthol is a cosmetic enhancer with none of the performance-enhancing characteristics of steroids. This is grandstanding sensationalism at its worst.

His friends call him, “Mr. Natural.”

  • Simon Tumpy

WTF have steroids got to do with this synthol freak? Did the author bother to research anything or just stick a few words and pics together?

  • basskiller

Jake O’Donnell is what’s wrong with journalism. Not knowing exactly what he’s talking about. As others have commented, Synthol is not steroids. It contains absolutely no steroids. It’s combination of oils and acids .. Thats it. It doesn’t build muscle. These new synthol freaks just want the size and do not want to put in the work to obtain them. If you think steroids are some magic pill that makes you bigger/stronger by themselves, then think again. Try taking them and not training hard. You’ll just build a bunch of fat.
