This Is A Reminder Why The NFL Moved Goalposts Back In 1974
From Jimmy Traina comes his video of BC defensive back Korey Banks getting leveled by the goalpost at Mosaic Field in Regina during the Lions’ CFL matchup with Saskatchewan. Despite how scary this collision looks, Banks turned out okay. That’s a good thing, since being injured with a minute left while holding a 42-5 lead wouldn’t really fall under the category of “leaving it all out on the field.”
You’d think this sort of thing would happen more often, but wider Canadian hashmarks and an end zone more than twice the size of the NFL’s offensive plays are generally drawn around the intrusive posts.
