A Timely Reminder That CNN Should Most Definitely Not Stick To Sports

CNN has improbably become public enemy number one for Donald Trump’s White House in the course of the first month of his administration. While they have certainly contributed their fair share of prematurely reported falsehoods over the years, they are by no means responsible for the proliferation of “fake news” that has become more and more popular across the internet.

If anything the current administration’s abhorrently loose interpretation of the truth has forced CNN to right the ship; inducing more real and responsible journalism than we’ve seen in quite some time.

Unless it’s sports.

This post from last year is remaking the rounds in light of their battle with Trump and his supporters, and while it isn’t a reflection of their ability to report political facts, it is hilarious.

This is Wrong sport, CNN

::face palm::

In case you didn’t catch it, that unreasonably large man on the mound is not a quarterback. How do I know that? Well it’s not just because no one his size could ever effectively play the position of quarterback, but also because he’s playing baseball and he’s a pitcher. Those are easily discernible facts.

That’s all not to mention that the man on the screen who is presumed to be “Hefty Lefty” is clearly pitching right-handed. Yeesh!

After the original post, it was clarified that the nickname referred to left-handed NFL QB Jared Lorenzen; who was very hefty indeed.
